Official Letter of Invitation:

Augmented Intelligence (for) Coaching Advancement & Research Ensemble

Invitation

Subject: Invitation to Join the Initiative: Augmented Intelligence (for) Coaching Advancement & Research Ensemble.

Dear Esteemed Coaching Colleagues,

I am thrilled to extend an invitation to you to become a founding member of an innovative and collaborative group designed specifically for professionals in our field: Augmented Intelligence (for) Coaching Advancement & Research Ensemble.

About the Group:

Our initiative aims to create a dynamic space where coaching professionals can come together to share experiences with AI, discuss use cases, and address concerns surrounding the integration of AI in coaching practices. The initial and primary focus of our group will be the Mastermind Function, where we will:

  • Engage in regular, structured meetings to exchange insights and strategies.
  • Offer mutual support and accountability in implementing AI-driven solutions.
  • Foster personal and professional growth through collective wisdom and shared experiences.

Think Tank Chapter:

For those interested in diving deeper, we will have a dedicated Think Tank Chapter. This segment will:

  • Conduct research and analysis on the broader implications of AI in coaching.
  • Develop white papers and policy recommendations to shape the future of our industry.
  • Serve as a platform for advocacy and thought leadership within the realm of AI and coaching.

Resource Library:

In addition to our discussions and collaborations, we will also build a Resource Library. This library will serve as a repository of key documents and resources that are relevant to our field.
To start us off, we will include the EU AI Act published on July 12, 2024, and the equivalent USA government regulatory papers on the AI topic. This will ensure that we are all on the same page with the latest regulations governing the construction and use of AI.

Join Us:

We are looking for passionate individuals who are eager to contribute to and benefit from this symbiotic environment. Whether you’re looking to grow on a personal level or contribute to the larger conversation on AI in coaching, there’s a place for you here.

First Meeting:

Our inaugural meeting is scheduled for [Date], and we would be honored to have you join us. Please RSVP by [RSVP Date] to confirm your participation.

Together, we can navigate the exciting challenges and opportunities that AI presents to our profession. We look forward to embarking on this journey with you.

Warm regards,

Marcia Berlanga Robinson

All FAQ elements will be refined together with you, the founding members, during the kickoff meeting.

What is aICARE?

Augmented Intelligence (for) Coaching Advancement & Research Ensemble.

With the term “Augmented Intelligence” we shift the focus from systems that operate independently of humans (Artificial Intelligence) to systems that enhance, extend, or augment human capabilities. It implies a stronger emphasis on the role of AI as a tool to enhance human coaching abilities, rather than replacing or replicating human intelligence.

We hope this subtle change can signal to you and the broader community that this group values the human element of coaching and sees AI as a means to augment and enhance, rather than replace, human intelligence and capabilities in the coaching profession. We believe it is a powerful message about the harmonious integration of technology and human expertise.

WHAT IS A Mastermind Group?

- A mastermind group is a collection of individuals who meet regularly to support, encourage, and learn from each other's experiences and ideas.

- The members of a mastermind group often share similar roles or goals and hold each other accountable to well-defined objectives.

- It's a peer-to-peer mentoring concept where everyone contributes and benefits from the collective wisdom.

- The term was popularized by Napoleon Hill, who defined it as a "coordination of knowledge and effort, in a spirit of harmony, between two or more people, for the attainment of a definite purpose".

WHAT IS A Think Tank?

- Think tanks are organizations that conduct research and engage in advocacy in areas such as social policy, political strategy, economy, military, technology, and culture.

- The aim of a think tank is to provide solutions to complex problems through research and analysis.

- Unlike mastermind groups, think tanks may not focus on the personal development of individual members but rather on influencing public policy or offering innovative solutions to the broader community. In our case, the coaching and mentoring community.

Applicable Screening

The criteria for screening aspiring members should align with the values, mission and goals of AICARE. Here are some potential criteria:

  • Experience in Coaching: We consider the aspirant's background and experience in coaching or a related field. This could include their years of experience, areas of specialization, and any certifications or accreditations they hold from institutions like the ICF, I-NCDA, EMCC Global. Some aspirants might have gained valuable experience and knowledge through other means. Therefore, while having an accredited education can be a strong indicator of a coach’s experience, other factors such as experience, skills, and commitment to continuous learning also matter.

  • Interest in AI: We gauge their interest in AI and its applications in coaching as determined through responses to application questions, projects, or publications. (Review the example set forth by the Platinum level offered by c.c.)

  • Willingness to Participate: We assess the aspirant's willingness to actively participate in the group’s activities through meeting attendance, contribution to discussions, and taking on leadership roles.

  • Alignment with Group Values: We want to ensure that values align or complement those of the group. This could include a commitment to ethical AI practices, continuous learning, and collaboration.

Membership Fee

We will (eventually) charge a membership fee to help cover the costs of running the group and to ensure that members are committed to the group.

To honour Founding Members that come aboard in 2024 the membership fee will be adjusted for inflation but never exceed __

Ground Rules for Participation

Establishing ground rules is essential for the smooth operation and success of the group. Updated July 2024:

1. Confidentiality:

   - What's shared in the group stays in the group. Members must agree to respect the privacy of conversations.

2. Punctuality:

   - Meetings start and end on time. Members should commit to being punctual to honor everyone's time and to be well prepared for possible breakout room discussions.

3. Preparation:

   - Members should come prepared to discuss the agenda items. Pre-meeting materials, if any, should be reviewed in advance.

4. Participation:

   - Everyone's input is valuable and should be heard. We want to encourage active participation from all members.

5. Respect:

   - We foster an environment of professionalism and mutual respect, implementing our Coaching Competencies when engaged with the group as a whole, in breakout rooms, or individually in contexts connected to aICARE.

6. No Judgment Zone:

   - We shall create a safe space where members can share freely without fear of criticism or judgment.

7. Action-Oriented:

   - We encourage members to set actionable goals and follow through with commitments made during meetings.

8. Positive Attitude:

   - Maintain a positive and solution-focused mindset, even when discussing challenges.

9. No Solicitation:

   - The group is not a platform for selling services or products to other members.

10. Feedback:

    - If and when asked for, please provide specific and constructive feedback with the intent to support and improve, not to belittle.

11. Think Tank Specific:

    - For the think tank chapter, we emphasize the importance of evidence-based discussions and the willingness to engage in research and analysis.

By setting these ground rules, we hope to ensure that our group is a productive and supportive environment where members can thrive.
